Admissions Policies ...

        The Gulf Coast Trades Center serves "at-risk" adjudicated youth referred from throughout the state of Texas. Referral agencies include the Texas Youth Commission, Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, and over 40 county juvenile probation departments.

The admissions policies stated as follows:
1. Must be between 14 and 18 years of age.
2. Must be willing to participate in a personal interview and campus visit.
3. Must be vocationally motivated.
4. Must be willing to participate in a battery of testand assessments to determine skills functioning and competencies.
5. Must be able to demonstratean ability to benefit from the vocational training offered.
6. Must be referred from a state or county youth serving agency.
